In December you overwhelmingly demonstrated your commitment to kindness at Capitol Lakes by giving over $42,000 to ensure we could continue current programs while funding new endeavors like music therapy.
In January our music therapists began working with residents. In 2024 they will provide a 'music and reminiscence' program for memory care residents. They are also hosting a cardio drumming group - a workout for both body and mind - for residents across our continuum of care. And later this year they will give a presentation to those caring for individuals with memory issues on how you can use music to interact with your loved ones.
