Promoting Intergenerational Connection During Careers in Aging Week

The first week of April students from UW-Madison School of Nursing's Geriatric Interest Group hosted a spring luncheon where older adults and students could come together for fellowship and conversation. This was the first time they were able to host the event since the pandemic shutdown. We were grateful to have seven Capitol Lakes residents participate!

Angie Li, the head of the Geriatric Interest Group, had this to say:

The lunch went very well! The students and faculty had a wonderful time, and everyone was very engaged in all the conversations. We got to learn so much about their life stories, and we are really thankful that they were able to join us.

Fostering partnerships that connect people across generations is just one way your Capitol Lakes Foundation is working to positively impact both our residents and our larger community.
