Thanks to the generosity of our donors, the Capitol Lakes Foundation recently purchased a high-quality popcorn machine to enhance resident programming across our community. While it may seem like a small addition, it's one that will create countless opportunities for connection, celebration, and fun for years to come.

The idea for the popcorn machine came directly from our Dining Committee, who recognized how fresh popcorn can elevate many of our favorite resident events. Whether it's a movie night, a social hour, or a special community gathering, the aroma of freshly popped popcorn adds a welcoming touch that encourages residents to gather, relax, and enjoy time together.

This investment directly supports the Foundation's mission of enhancing the living experience. Creating meaningful moments is an important part of building a vibrant community, and shared connections—often centered around food and conversation—help foster friendships and lasting memories.

Beyond the immediate enjoyment it will bring, the popcorn machine is also a thoughtful long-term investment. Built for commercial use, it is expected to provide reliable service for 15 to 20 years with minimal maintenance. That means thousands of servings of fresh popcorn and countless opportunities for residents to come together over the years ahead.
