Strengthening Our Future with a Beautiful New Outdoor Deck

Thanks to your incredible generosity, in 2025 the Capitol Lakes Foundation was able to approve its largest grant ever—$600,000—to fund a three-level outdoor deck as part of the Assisted Living renovation. This exciting project will create a welcoming outdoor space that enhances the daily lives of residents and strengthens the community atmosphere at Capitol Lakes.

A New Outdoor Space for Residents

The new deck will provide easy access to the outdoors for both Assisted Living and Health Center residents. This means residents can enjoy fresh air and nature without barriers, encouraging more time spent outside. The lowest level of the deck will be located just outside of our premier restaurant, Seasons, so that all Capitol Lakes residents will be able to enjoy this upgraded feature.

All levels of this outdoor area will serve as a gathering place for residents, their families, and staff. It will offer comfortable seating, shaded areas, and beautiful landscaping to create an inviting environment. The design focuses on accessibility and safety, ensuring everyone can enjoy the space regardless of mobility.
